HOW TO ENTER A SWIM MEET
Our coaching staff enters our swimmers in the appropriate events for each meet. However, it is still the responsibility of each swimmer (or parent) to indicate their desire and intention to swim in a certain meet on the Team Meet Schedule.
As a competitive swimmer, following proper meet entry procedures is a very important part of assuring the chance to compete in various types of swim meets. While the coaches will be choosing the events for each swimmer, certain information will need to be submitted to insure that the swimmer is entered in the meet correctly.
TO ENTER A MEET : To enter a meet you should follow these easy steps:
1. Check the Team's Meet Schedule and decide which team meets are have been indicated for your swimmer. Check the level of the meet and when the meet occurs. If a swimmer is unsure as to whether a meet is appropriate for them, they should speak to their coach.
2. Read the Meet Information for a selected meet carefully. The meet information is posted on the website as soon as the team receives it. This is typically 3 weeks to 1 month before a meet is scheduled.
3. Indicate the intent for your swimmer to participate. Make sure to indicate what days they are planning to attend.
4. SWIMMERS WILL NOT BE ADDED AFTER THE ENTRY DEADLINE.
5. A few days after the meet deadline, the meet entries will be posted on the website. Check the entry sheets for errors. Email any problems immediately to Coach Jeff or Coach Adam. This is the MOST IMPORTANT part of insuring that the swimmer is entered into the meet properly!
ENTRY FEES AND SURCHARGES : ALL ENTRY FEES AND SURCHARGES ARE INVOICED TO YOUR ACCOUNT AFTER THE ENTRY IS SUBMITTED TO THE MEET HOST. YOU ARE RESPOONSIBLE FOR ALL ENTRY FEES AND SURCHARGES ASSOCIATED WITH MEETS YOUR SWIMMER ATTENDS AS WELL AS A COACH SURCHARGE PER MEET. (This differs by level of meet).
